Never thought of, or heard of, a weighted blanket, but thinking about it, this makes sense.

I sleep pretty well. And I don't really move around much, unless I have breathing problems like with a cold or back pains or something.

However, I've long known that while I don't really move around much normally, I absolutely do not move at all if I have something on me, like when my kids were babies and I'd take naps with them lying on my chest. I would move ONLY if they moved, and then it was to keep them where they were. If one of our cats slept on my chest, or even on the blanket in the valley between my legs, same thing. No rolling over, no tossing and turning. At all.

Try a box fan set to low in your bedroom. The white noise can keep your mind from going all over the place thinking. The small fans don't work, the speed is too fast.

When I started using a fan on low, it helped me tremendously. I can't get to sleep at all if it is perfectly quiet. If there is other kinds of noise, the white noise will mask it.

White noise AND a weighted blanket? You might need a defibrillator to wake me up :)

Well, I'm on night 2 with my 15 pound blanket.

I'm not sure it's helping, and it's a huge pain to try to move around in the night while under it. My nerve-damaged feet definitely aren't happy with the weight. Still only getting my usual 4 hours. Not to mention, it's HOT under there, and the cat hates that he can't get under the covers with me now, poor baby! lol. He didn't like being crushed by the weight.

Any advice from those who are having good results with theirs? Shall I keep at it?

I don't have one, but try sleeping with the blanket only covering part of you... like leaving your feet out from under it.

Boy, does this bring back memories. Growing up in Kentucky there was a big-ass window fan in my room. Belt-driven, big pitch, slow turning; almost a rumble. That sucker could put me to sleep in five minutes.
