"It's got a lot of horsepower."

I always enjoy Jerry's vids. He and his wife are as nice as can be on the telephone. They act like they have known you for a long time.

Shot a cylinder of 500 and 460. Didn't buy either one. Like Baily Boat said, ya got to know your limitations.

Its one thing to squeeze and reset the trigger that fast.......but stay on target.......whoa!!!

The biggest handgun I shot was a customers . 50 cal Desert Eagle. More curiosity than anything else. Evidently the owner was not quite comfortable with the recoil as his three shots were a bit spread out. I had wanted to fire one for SO long. The grips in my small hands were monstrous, so I concentrated on front to back hold...grip, stance, follow through. Three rounds, two touching in the 9, one center. Not much more recoil than my .45, but at about $5.00 a round I thanked him for the opportunity and moved on while he scratched his head. Clearly he had bitten off more than he could chew, and while I knew I could fire it, it's not anything I would carry...even if it was just to the range. Jerry is awesome.

Not really, I used to think so until I got a 454. THAT was too damned much for my lily white sissified hands!! Picked up the Casuil on a Saturday and sold that sucker on a Tuesday with 18 of the 20 rounds still in the box. "Man's gotta know his limitations".......
I fired 3 rounds through a friend's Ruger Alaskan in .454. I didn't want any more, it was a beast. The recoil was a lot more violent than the .500 S&W.
