TMZ quoted Huff saying, “Getting my boys trained up on how to use a gun in the unlikely event @BernieSanders beats @realDonaldTrump in 2020, in which case knowing how to effectively use a gun under socialism will be a must.”

Huff made clear that he wanted his kids to be able to use guns to defend their lives and property. He said guns could be used to defend against “crazy people rioting and trying to break into [his] house for food or shelter,” if Sanders wins.

Huff took to Twitter and pointed to the empirical evidence that socialism produces chaos. He noted that this is a motivating factor in teaching his kids proper gun usage:

Republicans held the Senate. When the Dems held all three branches they managed to screw up Health Care in short order.

I read his comments, and I didn't see anything that hasn't mirrored what many people here have said in the past. He is just famous, so he gets national attention, we don't.

We have many times lamented the rise of socialism. We have many times compared the current trends in the US to trends in other Republics/democracies that were once vibrant that fell piece by piece to socialism. And we have discussed many times the need to be prepared for what life would be like under such a social structure. So, no, I didn't see anything he said to be totally outlandish. I think his time frame may be a bit short, and I would have said something more along the lines of:

"If the current trend in American social beliefs continues on a downward spiral towards socialism, I think it is valuable for my children to have the tools and knowledge to defend their lives, property, and families from the ensuing chaos and turmoil that will most likely occur."

No, I don't think a Bernie win would plummet us overnight into chaos. As mentioned by rdinatal above my bigger fear would be a Trump win and the antifa morons decide to up their "resistance" to even more violent than they are now and declare open war on anyone even remotely conservative.
 
I heard a joke that said, if Bernie became president, he'd be so ineffective, that we wouldn't have to worry about anything happening or changing over the next 4 years.

Training is all well and good.
My comments stem from him training because of his fear of a Bernie-led America, that he thinks people will be going nuts should he win. That, there, is where he lost me.
I stand by it, it's idiotic to me to think it'll all fall apart because of one guy.

Some of yall act like whatever the candidate says they'll do in the White House is what will actually get done while in the White House.
I do not want Bernie to become President, but I also know that if he would (lol, long shot) that the country would be ok. It might dip, there might be a few rough years, but nothing we cant handle and nothing that our country hasnt been through before.
 
It's not just one man and an immediate threat, but a creeping one. When the left hold enough power to enact sweeping "social reforms" without much resistance it becomes a matter of time. Gaining the presidentcy is a significant step. That leaves us with the Senate and we could loose that too. I'm sure many in Venezuela did think it would happen either.

Remember a few years ago when Republicans held majority and then we got a Republican in the white house and how all those evil democratic things went away? Yeah, neither do I.

Im not a fan of socialism or communism, I dont want it
But Im not going to train because I think there will be massive riots and chaos once Sanders, or anyone, gets into office.
Not much will change.

I'm interpreting your statement as supporting some sort of mental illness or chemical dependency that Huff is afflicted with.

My interpretation of "Others" calling / labeling him as "Paranoid(?)" is Huff actually knows world history and is able to apply " Heightened Awareness" to our current dysfunctional and fractured political environment, 360.

While many are ( and have stated so ) comfortable with our USA continuing to slide into Socialism, many of us are not and the Two main reasons the Pilgrims left Europe are 1) Freedom of religion 2) An oppressive government, period.

I would say Mr. Huff fully understands the ramifications of the Left, Socialist direction large areas of our country is going in.

If we get to the point where a socialist can win by saying that what's yours belongs to all people, and states are decriminalizing and refusing to prosecute crimes like trespass and theft... is that not a reasonable logical "leap"?
How many times will we hear about good boys just trying to get money for school by robbing/invading/killing people until we realize that something is going very wrong?

As most of the 2020 DNC POTUS hopefuls are promoting socialism to some degree ( no matter what their campaigns call it ) coupled with a total LACK of coherent understanding of major issues the end result with a POTUS from the DNC will be a disaster with exception of Bloomburg and Gabbard.

Meaning socialism as a new way of living standard and Bernie being in charge of it.

Does it really matter who is in charge of a socialist gov't or agenda?
I don't recall any leader(?) having a successful socialist gov't.

Then we have ( USA ) many that would Love to see and are inviting(?) such a gov't structure ( socialist ) to replace our republic.

Huff is not paranoid as he has a " Heightened Awareness" of what socialism will bring, no matter the leader or messenger.

Perhaps the paranoid individuals are in fact the ones wondering why others don't "Embrace " socialism as openly and willing as The Left.

As I recall Mr. Soros survived by siding / assisting the Nazis and while I have seen the 60 minutes interview, I'm still left with the impression that Soros was fully into Self Preservation and trying to Justify his helping the very ones Murdering his own country men.
