Still your panting. It's airsoft. And it's broken six ways from Sunday. But holy cow. what a shame.

What's really funny though...

It was in a police evidence locker at some point.

Silver lining, the sights seem well made and work on a standard picatinny rail. Might try them on a 22.

Also found a bunch of cheap, also broken junk for it. A Protec light, some sort of laser that's cracked, and other odds and ends.

On the up side, the unit had a lot of sporting goods stuff that's perfectly fine.

With the empty box of .40, I feel like there is a joke brewing somewhere. I just can't figure out where it's hiding.

i opened this thread because i saw the part about storage units and was hoping to see something like this .....
Yeah, and the dialogue I immediately thought of was,

Hi. Can you help me? I've lost my key to my unit and I really need to get into it tonight and there's no one in the office. Yeah, my boyfriend's name is on the unit, but we shared it, and he's umm... out of town. I'd be really grateful if you could help. Please?

Segue to the Top Gun rendition of Danger Zone...

I hate this stupid tv show. It used to be you could get a good unit for $50, but now everyone thinks the locker full of garbage bags loaded with clothes will have a lost Rembrandt in them and bid accordingly.
Yes, same for government auctions, people drive up the price.

Any chance you could reach out to the vendor to see if they can repair it? Even if it cost you a few bucks, it might be worth it for a quality airsoft gun

Oh if only they could talk (and share the story with the evidence tag)

Based on the painted 'flash hider', maybe used in an armed robbery.

When I worked at Dick's years ago, some 9-ish y/o kid & his grampa came in, wanting to know if we could remove the orange FH. Yeah, hard no. Then they asked about painting it & I explained to the grandfather that I'm sure they could, but that those things were brightly colored for a reason & it'd be a wonderful way to get his grandson killed.

It's a total loss. Trigger broke, charging handle broke, stock arms gone, selector switch gone. I opened it up and the motor is toast too.

Somebody used that in a robbery i might highly suspect it to be a fake since... you're not likely to find an mp7 pretty much anywhere in the country (yes, i know they do exist in rare places, and they're awesome), much less enough ammo to learn how to use it AND go use the thing.
still though, play stupid games...
