What could go wrong,,??

The compliance rate for New Zealand’s gun ban and compensated confiscation plan is abysmally low, but that’s not half as embarrassing for Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern as the fact that a database of some 70,000 gun owners, containing details of the firearms they own and their banking information, was apparently available for the public to access before it was abruptly taken down over the weekend.

Gun owners in New Zealand can’t avoid this looming train wreck, but gun owners in the United States should be just as concerned about something similar happening here given that Democrat front-runners Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, and Pete Buttigieg all tout various gun licensing and/or registration plans on their campaign websites. If anti-gun advocates get their way, the federal government will start assembling its own database of gun owners and the firearms they own beginning in 2021, with its data breach sure to follow shortly thereafter.

"oops"
but gun owners are bad people and they deserve bad things.
I'm actually glad I lost all mine in that boating accident.

Too bad I don't have anything to register. I was really looking forward to being on a "list". I'm sure my "Employee Possessor - User of High Explosives" license doesn't raise any red flags.

And Google, which hasn't lived up to it's "do no harm" mantra that it started out with.

I got to like the third interview with them to manage the infrastructure in one of their new data centers. The guy gets on the phone with me and says,, "looking at your resume, it doesn't look like you clawed your way up the corporate ladder." I said, "no, I was good enough to get to my position without spending years on the corporate ladder." He said, "I'm sorry we want someone that has hit every rung of that ladder." I said, "I'm sorry, I thought I was speaking to Google." That's when I got my education that they weren't the company they once were. They no longer wanted resourceful people but rather automatons.

All the 80% lowers in the world won't prevent them from paying you a visit. I suggest getting well prepared for the visit in whatever way you see fit.
Wait, are you giving me permission to make my own claymoroomba?

Years ago, decade or so?, back when pimping pirated satellite was the thing , "Status Symbol", many thought, believed they were isolated, insulated from any possible "Legal Action " because all these "Smart,,?" end users were going to their favorite signal pirate.
So the end users would pay said "Signal Pirate" 25 to 50 bucks and they would be good for ( hopefully ) another month or so.
So, what happened?,,, The signal pirate~s got Pinched and because of that said pirates gave Law Enforcement customer info ( some customers were LEOs, yup!) and the Law also went and raided the shops that were selling the equipment to pimp sat signal to begin with , which included "End User Info."
I case others are wondering,,, NO, I didn't play the pimp the Sat Signal game, at all. Nor did I have an illegal setup period, I paid for mine, Yup, I'm a Boring Person.

Oh, "What about the ""Wink~ Wink" and NOD -NOD?
Yah the I won't tell nobody friendship line?
Well when it's convenient to Roll on your customers , guess what, lets just say the Wink Wink Friendship ends.

So to the firearm stuff ~ situation.
Anyone that believes ( there are more than a few ) that buying an 80% lower , even with cash , from a manufacture / supplier, that they are protected / insulated from being Discovered as owning an 80% lower or possible other firearms may be if the business did not keep a record of the ( even ) Cash Transaction because if Big Bro Raids said manufactures offices, well your still on file,,, SORRY.

Case in point:
Gun store owner refuses to give feds customer list

Dimitrios Karras, owner of Ares Armor, said the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents were investigating their business, not for what they sell, but for the people who purchase their products.

Karras said the ATF threatened to shutter their business if they didn’t hand over the names of 5,000 customers who have purchased an 80 percent lower receiver (the base) for building an AR-15.

The following is about pizza, however it should get the point across

Yep - the government may or may not have a database of gun owners, but Visa and Mastercard definitely do.

Agreed
And rest assured if cc companies have your info, Big Bro has it or access to it.

Trying to stay off a list of people who have or likely have guns is going to be nearly impossible. For the record such a list should not exist, but since when have mere words on paper kept tyrants that are drunk for power constrained?

The best you’re going to do is have some devices that are not on their list and / or are kept in a place where they can’t be found. However, all this presupposes that when a leftist govt. decides to go full tyrant that people will cower and wait to be picked off one by one. If you’ve read any history at all, you would know that this is a losing strategy.
