CFF Member's Rides

I’ve had this Nova for 15 years. It was my first car. It’s been neglected for the last 10 but I started working on it again last summer. I got it running pretty good and replaced a lot of the interior. It still needs a lot though. I’m just happy it never needs another state inspection.

After a 10 year hiatus (new home and financing my daughter's college and grad school) I am finally an owner of an incredible 2004 Corvette Z06.....

The owner of our company did that and bought a 12 cylinder 7 series a few years back. He carried on for months about that driving school. Must be pretty good. He's not normally a "gusher" about things. He is driving an Alpina now.

A Dr in town has an older Alpina B7. He took the M school and the instructor looked into the parking lot and asked "Who drove the Alpina?" The Dr raised his hand and said me. The instructor asks can we put some tires on that thing and see what she can do. Dr agrees if he can ride shotgun. The instructor pushed the car to the max. Almost made the Dr sick. those cars in the right hands are amazing machines. The Alpinas are nice but too rich for our blood.

She settled for this.... 2018 M3 Competition with the DCT in Avus Blue.

Yeah I have always been an Audi guy but this M3 is sick. 444 HP hits 60 MPH in about 3.9 seconds. Still driving under the break in period. Once she hits 1,000 miles they will do a fluid change and engine inspection and activate launch control. Then the real fun begins!

Is hers the BMW X3 M40i? The wife considered that model and the X4 M40i but decided to go with a sedan vs SUV/Crossover.

It’s a 2012 35i w the twin turbo 6.

We drove the 28i just before the 35i. After driving the 35i, no contest.

Unreal.

Yeah when you step up in engines in the BMW line its hard to go back. We did drive a M3 CS which has 453 HP engine and is lighter. Gets you to 0-60 in 3.7 seconds but it really is a track car. It was too stripped down and the upcharge was too high. For the wife the M3 is a daily driver. :D

Same color as our owner's Alpina or very close.

Thanks it is a special order color. It was a stock color in the late 80's early 90s. It changes color in different lights. Goes from a very deep blue to almost purple in low light. There are only 25-30 M3s in the world in that color. They ran some at no charge for the last run of the F80 M3s which stopped production last month. This guy was the first to bring one in to the US in 2016. His build is next level shit.

Ditched my Jeep the week before the Meet and Greet at Battery Oaks last month. Always wanted a Jeep, and now I’ve had one. Kinda stuff I’m into the truck just makes more sense and has more room. Pulls the boat better also

Looks like more than a level.
2" level with Fox 2.0 coilovers and rear shocks. Gives the truck about a 1/2 rake. Raptor beadlocks with 315/70/17. With the tires combined its around 3.5" higher than stock.

I have been wanting to level mine with 33s or 285s. But I’m looking into buying some land, so the truck is on hold.

Do you have 18's or 20's?
I was originally going to go with 285/65/20 on the stock stx wheels.

What is it that you like about these so much?
Just curious why you keep buying them, what it is that makes them so special to you
I'm not sure. To me, they look cool. And, I was a huge Fiero guy back in the day. They took the engine and cradle and placed it in the front and used the same fiberglass body panel technology on the same frame technology, but just made a van.
