Seems Virginia AG Mark Herring is going to do what ever he wants.
His reasoning is, The People Want it.
That's not the way it works, or is suppose to work.

Is Virginia going to be where the "2nd Shot Heard Around The World" originates From?

In the vid below, the following info is between Time Stamp 19:00 to 35:45.

All aspects are broken down, explained, and put back together, very clearly, no smoking mirrors

Why Judges are Incapable of Ruling on the Second Amendment

Ignoring “militia,” “arms” and “shall not infringe” the court sounded more like Chief Justice Oprah Winfrey
Federal Judges Rewrite the 2nd Amendment

Well, I guess we'll see how much backing down is done when the rubber meets the road. And we'll see who sticks to their guns. ;)

He is getting absolutely savaged about these comments in the local discussion groups on Facebook.

You think the locals are going to follow your gun laws, but you refuse to enforce federal immigration or marijuana laws. Sure thing chief.

The Feds have a duty to uphold and defend the 2nd-A. They have a duty to stop and reverse the influx and invasion of illegal aliens. The feds have ZERO authority to make MJ illegal as this was explicitly not a power granted to them. They’re derelict in all three. And that’s not nearly all of the violations against its charter that the Fed commits every hour of every day.

Here’s the thing. Once the covenant is broken, and it absolutely has been, every part of it becomes null and void. This govt. is illegitimate and the only thing is the threat of force for which we’d be absolutely justified in returning in kind to either defend against its actions and abolishing it as an institution.

I agree, it just illustrates the point that this Attorney General will pick and choose the laws he wants to enforce and the ones he wants to ignore but expects all citizens of the state to follow him.

That’s been business as usual for at least the last decade. It’s also a reflection on the fact that “law” has strayed far from the basic concepts of right and wrong into areas where it shouldn’t have.

Dude’s pretty arrogant. I believe he underestimates the will of free people.

Good.

You don't even have to get to the federal 2nd Amendment level in Virginia. Here is Article I of the Virginia Bill of Rights (emphasis added):

Article I. Bill of Rights
Section 13. Militia; standing armies; military subordinate to civil power

That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

Just as @GoWolfpack alluded, the AG will pick and choose what he enforces, and people will pick and choose what they follow. I am thinking not a lot of folks are going to buy into this and do anything different...

Charlotte area, Greensboro, Raleigh, Durham and Cary are our liberal Turds in the NC politics. We are getting closer every day to a problem. It wasn't a good thing to redraw the election maps here.
A bigger problem is letting activist, leftist, courts tell them that the maps were invalid. The courts have no real power, except that which people are willing to give them. Stop giving them any. I guarantee you the mightiest "judge" got up and took a leak in the morning like everyone else and has very human frailties....

The redistricting is a very big story that the media isn't carrying because they want it. My Congressman, George Holding, took a look at his new district and retired, saying it was now a safe Democrat seat. Most observers now say we'll go from 10 R's / 3 D's to 8 R's and 5 D's, just on the redistricting. Scariest part, though, is the state legislature. Flip five seats in both the House and Senate, and assuming Roy Cooper is re-elected, you'll have NJ gun control here just like in Virginia. And Bloomberg has us in his sights. I might have to move to SC. At least there I won't have to see those scary open carry people.

All the more reason to fight this by any means necessary in VA. Even if you move to SC, if it isn't stopped it will follow you there.

Are they organizing a recall election yet?

If those anti-AG counties really are that up in arms (every pun intended), they should have the numbers to at least make him raise his eyebrows and rethink his plans....

Edited to add, I just saw on FB a group called virginiaconservatives.net have initiated a recall drive...

I sure hope VA people wake up.

They’re awake; it is why you are seeing county after county and city after city passing 2A Sanctuary resolutions.

Now, the AG sees these resolutions as purely symbolic and nothing more, but my gut tells me he is reading some of those good folks wrong.

I can tell you that during my lifetime, I have not witnessed the levels of disdain for .gov intrusion that I’m seeing today and it doesn’t seem to be tapering or even leveling off...it’s growing.

Folks want to be left alone. If TPTB are smart, they will give ‘the people’ exactly that. They have neither the personnel nor the resources to enforce their will upon the people. The reason they’ve been able to do that so far; the ONLY reason, is due to a longsuffering populace, but that patience has a season...

and winter, it is a-comin’.

th
Exactly what I was thinking... LOL

Well, guess we will just have to wait and see how this shit storm plays out and be ready for the fallout here in NC.

"I might have to move to SC" Who do you think is buying all the places at the beach and the low county in SC? It sure as hell is not someone living in Greer or Orangeburg. SC . SC has been sucking the $$ from the northern tourist for years just like the NC Outer Banks. So guess who is coming to din din.

It was the Dems who sued over it forcing the redistricting map being redrawn. They will cheat, steal, lie and look you in the eye and say they didn't do it. Bastards!

Well. Will see what happens as been said here. But I am more than willing to move out of this state to a freedom state. But if the SHTF while here, then I will stand against all enemies foreign or DOMESTIC .

If we do not cut the head off the snake NOW, there will be no freedom states. This taking away our God given rights has gone too far already! The time is now to protest, prepare and be ready to fight!!!!!!!

Obama and Holder behind these lawsuits.

Due Process

Seems to me that "The State" or any Gov't Body passing such "Unconstitutional Law~s" with the threat of making any Lawful Citizen unwilling to comply a Felon is misidentified, and done so on purpose.

It would more spot on accurate to identify and label Lawful Citizens unwilling to comply with unconstitutional law as "Political Prisoners."

However it sounds more sensational & damning to label them Felons as well as distributing groundless punishment.

If Virginia were to punish Lawful Citizens labeled "Political Prisoners", even some of the Left may take notice of the BS they're party to & enabling.

The Gov. says the citizens don't have to give up their rifles, just register them. o_O

Sure there will, places like Idaho, and Wyoming, and the Dakotas...the so-called flyover states that do not matter with electoral votes, so the democrats won't be interested.

What NC, SC, Georgia, etc., have done with regard to cost of living, economic stability, retirement haven, etc., are now reaping the unintended benefits of people moving here from liberal states, turning our states into liberal states.
