Hate to hear this. For what it's worth I'm sorry. It was about a year ago we buried our favorite cat.
 
Oh my gosh Millie I'm very sorry you had to go through that.
I've had to do exactly that too many times. I want them to rest where they lived and loved, but the burying part is very very difficult.
About the only time you'll see tears roll down my cheeks that I struggle to control.
Hang in there dear. We understand.

Condolences. The word is sometimes tritely used, but the latin etymology suggests "sufferings or pains with."
 
Very sorry for your loss. You have my condolences. Saying goodbye to a longtime friend like that is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. It is never easy.
 
Sorry for your loss Millie as long as they live in your heart they're never really gone, just in a better place waiting for us.

I'm keeping my shooting date with a forum member and his wife this afternoon, I'll be grateful for the company and the distraction!
And getting my revolver back, unless they want to borrow it longer.....
 
@Millie I know this hurts. It sucks. Know this, the Lord needed a good mouser in Heaven. I know you did your very best to take care of him. When you feel ready look for another Buddy. Who knows God may send one you way.

Sorry for your loss Millie and immerse yourself with the shooting date and good people. I enjoy the company of my animals and the time spent learning from them helps me to pick and choose which people I can enjoy time with.

That sucks Millie. We lost our cat Simon earlier this year. It hurts to lose our 4 legged friends.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a beloved pet is tough. Rest easy knowing the great life you gave Buddy and the great life he gave you.
 
This is a scan of a card our vet sent us after I had our cat put to sleep at age 19 years and 3 months. I'm not sure I was able to speak a word after the initial conversation about the reason for my visit. I don't know why but this picture was of some comfort. I'm not sure if we get attached to the animals, or if their passing is a sign of our own mortality. In any case, I am sorry for your loss.

Just saw this. Very sorry Millie for the loss of your Buddy. He looks pretty happy in the pic so I’m sure he knew he was loved.
