M&P Beavertail reduction

After playing with M&P 2.0 for a bit, I'm thinking about turning my 1.0 into a 1.5 by reducing the beavertail to match the 2.0 profile.
Has anyone undertaken this? Couple of places do it, but seems pretty straightforward.

Belt sander makes it easier


Go slow and not too far as I believe it may be hollow under there.

After some research it seems that some of the older frames had some air bubbles, but its supposed to be solid but it's a gamble.

Maybe just as easy to sell it and buy another 2.0.
