Match Videos

Beautiful day after the rain left...before the first stage was shot. Great match overall. Some of the work I've been putting in paid off in this match...except that one steel plate that gave me the middle finger on calibration.
Thanks to the M and GM guys not being at the match so I could get another Production win...lol

Argggghhhhhh, freaking 2 mikes, one procedural and one oh my freaking god I forgot that steel.......

But I still had a blast and ate one killer burrito afterwards.

I taught you that one.

What did you do differently at this match that made it so much worse?
not letting the front sight settle, just running as fast as i could and not calling shots. Last month I jacked up a unloaded start, and i noticed my shots were really good after that stage because I knew I had to get good hits because I lost so much time. Thats what Ill be focusing on next month, slowing down my internal clock

slowing down my internal clock

Well you didn't ask me but I'll tell you anyway. You need to take your internal clock out to the internal garage, grab your internal hammer, and smash that thing and throw it in the internal garbage can.

What matters isn't how fast or slow you feel, what matters is how fast or slow you see. You didn't see enough sights so you didn't get enough points. Forget about how fast it feels. Going so fast you feel fast means you'll just spend all your time shooting out of control! Being patient and seeing enough to get an A as soon as possible feels slow on the internal clock. It's lying to you. So smash it up and throw it away and trust your eyes. When you see enough, pull the trigger. Until you do, be patient.

And once you shoot at the speed of sight, your can practice seeing faster and you will become faster.

Cant argue with that. Thanks Ben

I'm working all weekend 9pm to 7am. There is no way I could drive...I need to find some carpool people...then at least I can get some sleep on the ride down :D

Ride with us, you get a burrito or brisket afterwards.

Meet up in Lowell/Gastonia

USPSA optics national championship in frostproof FL. 20 difficult stages, more technical that even the FLOP. Numerous 35yd partial NS targets. Hell on stage 20 I engaged a target at 49 yards. It was a really good time and placed pretty well, 18th open. Day one went really well, day 2 not so much.
