‘Justified’ Revival Set at FX With Timothy Olyphant Returning

I made the comment to my father about how the bad guy was white and in Detroit.

His response was, "Anyone white and left in Detroit is probably bad."

He's a Political/Economic refugee from Michigan.
The original book was written in the 80's (I believe). Definitely not modern Detroit.

My wife goes "that guy was in Narcos" and she hardly watched any of that. Boyd Holbrook, the villan here. I can't believe I didnt immediately recognize him. Got to keep my eye on my wife. Going ga ga over the blond, bad boy flat belly bastard.
I thought he looked familiar, but its also been a couple of years since I watched Narcos.

Watched the first two episodes - putting it in the "just OK" category thus far. While the villain does a good job, Walton Goggins just left behind unfillable shoes with his portrayal of Boyd Crowder, so its tough to look past that. It also saddens me that Winona isn't still around, because Natalie Zea was very easy on the eyes, and I enjoyed Winona as a good contrasting character to Raylan.

I also didn't realize that the daughter in the show is apparently Timothy Olyphant's actual daughter.

it can pick up any time, even my wife is commenting on how much it sucks so far
Yeah - I watched the new episode last night, and I keep waiting for something to happen. We get it, the bad guy and his scummy girlfriend are scummy. Get on with it already.

As far as I'm concerned "up" is the only way this turd can go. I noticed they threw another "cracker" in Ep 3. They should throw some slurs against other races/ethnicities in there and see how that flies.

Srsly, the writers are obsessed with race.

Boyd was one of the best bad guys in a show. His acting has always been on point going back to The Shield

Drawn Fire Art just posted this on his facebook page. Looks like he's selling copies. His gun art is pretty groovy, I've a giant 'Four Horsemen' from Tombstone on my office wall.

Ok. Having watched all the available eps so far. I now think it is disappointing. Boring for a lot of it.

Yeah, I got caught up earlier this week watching Eps 5&6. I’ll finish it, but it’s just meh.

That finale…interesting.

Show itself, meh.

We went into it expecting to be disappointed. We watched Episode 1 and haven't been back to watch any more episodes. We may but, I doubt it. As @Supermatch pointed out, Boyd Crowder added so much to the original Justified, no one else can fill those shoes.

just go watch the last 10 minutes of the final episode 😎

it was painful, but we finished it. best part of the whole dang thing is the end/possible set up for season 2

We toughed it out and watched all episodes. The last few minutes of the last episode made the whole thing bearable. Before that, it was not good.

Even my wife said that Raylan had slipped a long way from Winona and Ava. She said she had rather seen him with Mags Bennett. 😂

We binge watched it, 2 episodes a night, just finished it tonight. Pretty much agree with what's been said. Maybe Oliphant should stick to acting and not executive producing.

Rayland and Caroline together didn't make sense, totally out of character for Rayland.
