Should I be concerned that my trigger guard assembly rattles around in the stock? Will it affect accuracy or consistency?

It appears to move about 2mm each way, both left and right. It does not move front to back though.

I bought it used several years ago and forgot it did this. It is a 122 serial number from 1981.

Sounds like an excuse to try out a new stock :D

Or possibly shim it. You could probably use a small piece cut from a soda can to tighten the fit. I wouldn’t think it would effect function or accuracy. At least not enough to notice.

lol, stop that! I have already gone broke (theoretically) several times while surfing KIDD's website!
Ha, that will do it :) I want one of those ultra lightweight barrels...but it’s going to have to wait! Lot of dough to lose a pound or so.

Seems it is actually loose in the receiver though. I thought it might be the new receiver pins, because they just fall out. But the stock ones do the same thing!

10/22 trigger packs aren't usually snug but I haven't seen one with that much slop before. I wonder if a previous owner bowed the receiver trying to get the bolt back in. See any pry marks on it?

No pry marks and the holes look round still. Just really loose I guess. Got it to the range this morning to test out the new tech sights. Firearm functioned without any failures. Can't (won't) comment on the accuracy though. :p
