Price, it's all about the price
Successful morning. 15 yards.
Exit wound this time. Same gun and patch/load. Range 15 yards. In right shoulder out next to last rib. Ball not recovered as it exited. Entry and exit holes were about 3/4 to 1 in dia. Ribs broken both sides. 25 yd death run. Lung and blood all over.
4th one shot kill on deer with round ball and 1 painted Ram with round ball. All 15 to 75 yds.
I think I'm done with hard kicking fancy stuff. This is good hunting.
They seem to run a bit with 45 prb, unless neck shot but they don't run far and the damage seems all out of proportion to paper ballistics. But so far, the tracking is a breeze.
Quite a few other deer downed with the heavy weight slugs.. Those were mostly one shot stops but those heavy full wadcutters really kick hard.
