    So which is it:

    1. He's asking too much money for this trailer...
    2. Nobody buys a trailer in North Carolina if it doesn't have a title...

Do I need to go to the trouble of getting a title or just lower the price a little? What's it gonna take to sell this trailer?

    Thanks everyone.

I think the main problem is the time of year right now everyone except for those with more money than brains is using what they got saved up for Christmas

That's true. The whole BST section is pretty stagnant right now.

I’m going with a combination of price for it’s appearence/wear, and the fact that it has such a short deck. I’ve had/sold a couple short deck car haulers and I thought I’d die of old age before they did sell.

My wife told me, "Its not the size of the deck that matters. "

I agree about price vs. its appearance/wear. I think part of it also is the mobile home axles, for that price. Do the brakes work on the front axle?

If it has never been titled, it should be no problem to get one legally and stamp the assigned VIN on the trailer, so that’s not a deterrent to me.

But if it already has a VIN but no title, that can be an issue. If the title is in your name, but you lost it, no big deal for you to get replacement copy of title from DMV. But if someone has a title to it, and it was never transferred to you, would be tougher.

Edited to add - I would also call it a 16 foot trailer when you advertise it, or 16x7. Your ad *does* explain the 16x7 deck size, but your first line may turn off folks looking for a normal (16-18ft) car trailer.

Another suggestion - get close up pics of tires showing tread depth and uniformity, and list how old they are. Your ad says they are in great shape, but your pics make them look old. Really good, heavy rated tires are a good selling point you want to show off.
