1911-22 General Question on Mags

I picked up a GSG 1911-22. It came with 2 mags but I would like to have a total of 4. Being a newbie with this brings up a question...

Can other manufacturers magazines be used? Or, do I need to only search for GSG mags??

Are they all made by GSG, imported by ATI and sold under XXX??

Sig 1911 22 mags will work. I think your assumption is right pretty sure they just have different roll marks on the slides are basically all ATI imports

You got me thinking, I have a Colt/Walther Gold Cup 1911-22 and a Sig 1911-22. Will look to see if they use the same mag tonight.

The Sig is a rebranded GSG.

The GSG mags are really the best ones out there for the 1911-22s. I have TacSol, GSG, and Marvel 1911-22s/uppers and they work great in all of them. I have a lot of them. The TacSol mags are just as nice but even more pricey.

There may be 1911-22s that don't work with the GSG mags, but all the ones I have do.

The GSG mags are 1911 form factor. They fit a standard 1911 lower with a 22 conversion upper (which you could get the GSG as in addition to a full pistol form).

Exactly the same except for the labeling. GSG has some additional models.

The GSG 1911-22 makes an excellent suppressor host, especially since you can get an o-ring engagement adapter for it to use with SiCo cans. I think I paid $199 or so for mine from PSA...couldn't pass it up at that price!
