So I'm slowly acquiring parts for my 1911 build. 5" in 45.
Got a whole top-end kit from Sarco and while I didn't expect a hard fit barrel, the fit is simply horrible.

Which brings me to my questions, anyone have experience with semi fit/easy fit barrels?

Preferences? Ease of fitting? Other thoughts?

Maybe I should ask my father. He used to work at Springfield Armory.

You know that song about the guy who worked on the Cadillac assembly line and one-by-one every part came home in his lunchbox?

Well...

BTW - where do you work?

Hard to beat a Kart ez fit. I have done drop ins to full on lower and upper lug cutting/fitting, the Kart will do exactly what you need with very minimal work.
