Got a pickup load of 1960's 3/4" x 8 x 8 knotty pine from a house demo in North Durham. It is tounge and groove with the v match.
I plan to use it as ceiling in a rustic camp, so the V match and groove is not wanted. Using a borrowed tablesaw, I ripped it down to 4.5".
Such pretty stuff. I love old yellowed pine. It has stories to tell.
My helper Werner is in the pic.
He never smiles.

Knotty pine was the thing back in the day. Oh, the things those boards have seen over the years......

Probably hard as a woodpecker beak............. Worked with some walnut back in the 70's that had been stored in a barn for over 50 years. Spent lots of time fixing equipment. Harder than ebony or locust.

I grew up in an old farmhouse paneled with that stuff.
Beautiful.

Awesome!

@Slacker , that came out NICE!! For whatever reason Pine isnt always the most popular wood for interior applications, but i love the way it looks, knots and all. My Grandmother had pine kitchen cabinets made by my cousin.....they looked awesome.
