Just over 1k miles. I love this thing but never ride it. I got it for back road/fireroad exploring and commuting to save gas.

Naturally, shortly after the purchase I changed jobs and also began dating my soon to be wife. I now need to carry my own tools around for work and the woman loves back road/fire road exploring too. So this bike just sits.

I do crank it on the regular and take it for a spin around town just to keep it fresh. Otherwise it's just in the way.

I have modded it but all stock parts are included if you need to have it stock for some reason.

Added Renthal CR-hi bend bars with Oury grips (my preferred setup from my MX days, stock bars included)
Added an EJK module as the factory tune is LEAN for emissions, which bothered me. Then upgraded to a WPS dry mat battery for weight savings.

Pretty much everything I did was to make it lighter and last longer. I removed alot of non-essential items just to make it feel more peppy and agile. Again all factory takeoffs are included.

The only parts that would have to be replaced to make it 100% stock (i.e. I cut or removed material) are the stock airbox snorkel (cut), stock airbox lid (holes drilled)(still as water resistant as a stock airbox with both of these by intention) and the factory brake/tail light assembly was modded to clean up the nasty stock light/mudguard thing that all bikes seem to come with. All three parts would be under $60 to replace if you wanted to.

Also includes a black Joe Rocket synthetic riding jacket with removeable rain liner. A Bell dualsport helmet size medium can also be in the negotiation.

    Located in Sylva, NC.
    Price drop $4,000 obo
    Title in hand.
    Partial trades considered.
No test rides without cash in hand. Crossposted on other media.

Happy to pull her out and get more detailed pics if there is enough interest.

Also I will deliver a good distance. Only requirement to that is if no deal is made, you are responsible for my gas (4 cylinder truck).

Out of my range (budget), but sure is sharp.

But, just out of curiosity, how fast will it go on a paved road? Im not asking because i think I need a bonneville bike, but understanding that my dualsport now (ts100 from 74) doesnt crack 55. Now my buell 1125R... yeah, that'll about triple that, Id assume.

It’s for sure not an interstate bike. If I can even remember, honestly, haven’t had it on the highway in years. Just around town trips so It doesn’t just sit here lol.

With my fat butt (220 on it I have gotten over 70 on flat ground. It’ll cruise all day at 55-60 on the local highways but no “passing power” if you will. I fully believe if there was a 120lb woman on there instead of my short, wide wind block self. It would jump that window up and cruise at 65.

It’s like I said in the op. Backroads, fireroads, etc. it’s amazing. I ran the parkway and backroads from here to Asheville several times. It’s perfect for that. It’ll putt along at sight seeing paces or you can get a lil’ sporty if the roads are clear:)

Mmmm Buell. Those are dang nice. I come from a motocross background and having ridden a few street rockets as well as full blown super motos. I got my Honda specifically because I know myself and if I have the power I will want to push it:oops::rolleyes:. Which gets expensive with medical bills, legal bills prolly both lol.

For my “limits” yeah, I could do with more power than this bike. But realistically, never had situations I “needed” it.

Well, as stated, my 74 doesnt break 55, so taking it places takes PLANNING so that Im not on roads that are 55+, trying to avoid people etc.
I would like to get a more modern, street legal dirtbike. But 4k aint in the budget after the 1100 I just spent on my HVAC yesterday

With the right gearing (sprockets) you could achieve hwy speeds. The bike should have enough power to pull it off.

    elec start?

Runs out of power not gearing in this case. But prolly could if someone wanted to. Just not really the intention of this bikes design.

Yep, electric start and fuel injected.
