2019 Cowboy Action SC State Match 9/26-29

The “Rampage at Ridgeville”, the Single Action Shooting Society 2009 South Carolina State Championship Match, will be held at the Palmetto Gun Club in Ridgeville, SC (near Summerville) from Thursday, September 26, 2019 through Sunday, September 29.

Side matches (including Wild Bunch, my favorite) are on Thursday with main match stages on Friday and Saturday. Shootoff and awards on Sunday morning.

The PGG is the home club of the “Geechee Gunfighters” and a great site for a cowboy match. We usually have a good selection of vendors selling clothing, leather, Reloading components and other good stuff.

If you have never seen a cowboy action match this is a good opportunity to check out the sport and meet some of the folks. No charge for visitors and spectators. Eye and ear protection is required in the shooting bays.

This should be a Do Not Miss affair. Some of my shooters and I went to the Regionals at Givans Range in Summerville several years running. I promise you will have a grand time. Great deals at the Vendors. Leather, Western wear and Guns all for sale.

I attended the SE Regional at that range just to shop with the vendors in my first year shooting cowboy. Jimmy Spurs was shooting and vending. I only managed to shoot the SE Regional one time before it was moved to a different state. It’s in Alabama this year, I think.

About 120 shooters on the posted list. Should be a good match.
