I am getting ready to change out my 300 BO to a 204 Ruger. I thinking a 24" barrel with 1:12 twist rate. Never been down this road before as far as building a precision AR. I can find barrels from $250 to close to $500. Was thinking about the $300 mark. One of the barrels says that you might need to customize the barrel nut. Not really sure what that means. I was thinking going with Stainless Steel. There was one site that you build your barrel with about 10 options. I would not really know exactly what to order as far as what size gas port and contour of the barrel.
