Need some thoughts / advice what to do with these, just made them, I’d planned to do a cherry/walnut, but liking the light color on the black gun with the grain. Which way to go (till I make another set…) and how to finish them?

Those look great. I have the same pistol. I like the short barrel length also.

Looks nice. I am a fan of hand rubbed linseed oil. Keeps them looking natural.

Good thought. Would they need any additional finish etc after the linseed? Trying to avoid the poly/varnish route for no particular reason.

Edit, was reading up on these oils, great options. Considering tung oil too.

No extra finish required. It does take some time to do. But when done they look great. Some people do put a coat of wax on afterwards, but that is it. To remove the wax you just use 4 ot steel wool and linseed oil then wipe off with clean cloth and hand rub more linseed oil in. This is the way a oil finished stock should be cared for also.

Tung Oil & Citrus Spirits from MilkPaint finished, cured for 30 days. I’m fairly happy with it, but will probably do another set and color it a bit / try to pop the grain more. 55991E68-4B04-4AB9-A4FA-CEE0E1442279.jpeg

Interested in hoe you removed the factory grips and what bushings and screws did you use?
I bought the MkIII with swap-able
Grip panels, wanted threaded barrel anyway and didn’t want to deal with trying to get the fixed panels off…
