Finally got my Sig brand rimfire P220 conversion running smooth - had to make quite a few mods.
First the firing pin spring needed to be lightened considerably for consistent primer hits, then the recoil spring needed to be lightened to cycle with anything but the hottest ammo.
[I left the stock recoil spring alone and swapped in one from another semiauto with very close dimensions based on another forum post find.]
CCI Blazer is peppy, Aguila HV 40 gr next, then old Win Super X HP weakest but all running 100%.
Going to test with Fed Auto match and Rem Golden Bullet next, this should run with cheap bulk fodder and not just Minimags.
Interesting how much variation in recoil there is among common HV loads. I may try some SV now just to see but doubt that will work.
