I bought this beauty a few weeks ago. From the serial number, it appears to have been manufactured the year I was born (1959). It is a pity that the former owner didn't have the original box. It is in fine shape for its age and is extremely accurate but I am having some extraction issues that I will hopefully workout in the near future.

Fixed the extraction issues with a Wolf 8 lb. recoil spring as recommended by Clark Custom Guns. (related to Jerry Miculek).

I love my little Phoenix. A lot of people bash them because they are so inexpensive but ask anyone who has one and they all love it.
Yes, the "frame" cracks (like you read), but it is the top of the mag well and does not affect function. Besides, if it stops running (mine hasn't yet.... had it 7 years with 3000+ rounds thru it) They will replace it (lifetime warranty) for free. So, I'll let others bash it while I enjoy the hell out of it.

Pirate, I like that Ruger... saw a factory configuration 10/22 with a folding tactical stock, threaded flash hider, single point sling, red dot sight... $325, had a hard time passin' it up, might go back!

It was the sh*t back in the day...came with 4 different calibers in the complete set.
.22, .25, .32 and .380
H&R also imported a set for HK but HK had their own sets too.

The 4 caliber sets are stupid money...if you can even find one.

HK made a bunch of 2 caliber sets....380/22 ....32/.22 or .25/.22

These are easier to find....and more reasonably priced...

reasonably is a relative term
