I'm considering the Dillon case trimmer, but wanted to get opinions of the Dillon or recomendations of what else is out there for large quantities. Currently using the Lee and it's time to upgrade to something else for large quantities.

I use the Lee quick trim . Works good. But I'm in the market for something a little faster and less like carpal tunnel

I'm using the Lee trimmer with the threaded cutter, mounted in my RCBS case prep center. I use the cam-lock spindle from my Hornady cutter to hold the case. I trim, chamfer, deburr, and uniform the flash hole on each case. Goes reasonably quick, but I'm not doing 1000 at a time, either.

Still going strong?

I have Giraud for the batch stuff. It does take up some real estate on the bench, but it's soooooo worth it.

yeah, they work fast, but it is kind of a pain cause you have the drill in one hand and the case in the other.

I was thinking about finding an old corded drill and mount the motor in a box and keep it plugged in.

Possum hollow kwick case trimmer. Wanted to get one for 308, but I don't think they make them anymore. really easy to use

Thanks for the info. I am trying to decide between the Dillon and Giraud. Leaning towards the Dillon because somewhat limited on bench space. Was also thinking that I could decap, resize and trim on my 550 with each pull of the handle.

I am using the WFT in a drill press. Last night I did over 2 one gallon bags of 223 in a less than a couple of hours. Then went to the 308 and they take a little longer. I might be able to do 1 308 in 10 seconds. The 223 it takes more time to pick them up then trim them. The only time consuming thing using this method is about after 30 to 40 223s you have to stop and tap on the trimmer to get the brass out.

Something to think about before doing this is the fact that the Dillon sizes the neck down just the same as a regular sizing die but does not have an expander plug. I run my cases that have been trimmed with my Dillon back through a sizing die so the inside diameter of the neck will be uniform for all cases.

I generally trim cases with other devices after I have sized them and am not sure that sizing after using the Dillon is completely necessary.

Not .223 this time, but it sure makes short work of 260.
