$260 to cerakote a shield?

I was toying with the idea of cerakoting my shield, its my edc so I just thought fk it why not. I went to TSA and asked the smith on site.... 260..... is that on par with what you guys see? All I told him was one color, whole gun except maybe the palm insides. If you think this is not accurate, any suggestions in the RTP area? Id prefer not to mail my gun.
 
The wife wants a shield in FDE and I can only find them with the thumb safety, which she doesn't want... I was going to go this route. She'll be getting a plain black one for that price.

@ARGuy if he's still doing this hobby.

You won't find quality work any cheaper.

It's "west mounting trading" located in kernersville.

His turn around time is super fast and prices are super cheap.

I do the laser and CNC work for him.

hmmmm thats not far from some areas I visit, I might even be able to arrange delivery, is he looking for work? if so could you PM me some contact info or post? Appreciate that.
 
This might not be what you want, but I had someone do my slide (easy to mail) and it wasn't much $. Bead blasted and guncoat. Got rid of the lawyer stamp, too. I I had him put TFOs on at the same time so I didn't have to deal with it.

Did a g19 slide for me a few years ago, black for 30 dollars and shipped back quick. Probably had to buy purple paint, thus it costs more.

Yea he told us that it would have been cheaper if we didn't do a one off colorme like that. Still wife is happy, I'm happy and it's great work
 
I dropped my Shield off at Carolina Firearm Coatings in Shelby, N.C. They cerakoted the slide in Noveske Green for $75. Whole pistol, one color is $190. Quality work.

I know this is an old post but do you have any info on these guys? All I can find are insta pics. Do they have a webpage, Facebook....anything? What kind of pricing structure do they have? Thanks.

Mostly instagram. The guy does it as a second job type deal, but he does have his FFL now, and if you send him an email he responds quickly.

His prices are reportedly reasonable. I don't do coatings so no personal experience, but I have seen his work up close, and it was very professional
