First, let me say that 28 Days Later is one of my favorite horror movies ever
But what made me think of all this again is Im currently watching 28 Weeks Later, and Jeremy Remmer (or however you spell it) is a badass.

While this movie has more 'plot' to it, I still love the zombie-ish theme, where they are infected with rage and just BRUTAL. It's pretty dang scary stuff.

And, the first one has a killer, spooky soundtrack (all instrumental and dramatic and creepy as heck). Sequel isnt far behind, but not quite AS good.

There is a sappy chic flick with a similar title about a girl going into rehab. I think it's just called 28 days. Sandra Bullock I think.

But it has fooled me on the damn tv menu several times. I'm like sweet and I hit enter to see a bunch of sad sacks bitching about their lives. Ugh.

Youre an Office fan, I think (based on things youve posted).
IIRC, Pam made a comment about that, about how she was trying to watch the SB movie and it ended up being a zombie movie and she didnt realize for a long time or something.

Also, I forgot about the black dude that was in OZ. He's the helicopter pilot who carries a MP5 and uses his rotors to mow down a lot of Zs. BADASS.

It's actually one of the more logical possibilities for creation of "zombies."

Another plausible zombie flick is Quarantine (REC is the original film from spain). Basically the "zombie" virus is a form of rabies created by a doomsday cult. The sequal for Quarantine doesn't follow the sequel for REC unfortunatley but it isn't bad.

Quarantine

Quarantine 2: Terminal

REC

REC 2

Guess it's gonna be zombie movie night now!

I'm really hoping they come out with a third installment of the 28 series! They left 28 Weeks open for a sequel for sure. Both were very well done and not cheesy like a lot of flicks in the zombie genre. Guess it would have to be 28 Months Later then?

Yes, I've seen Quarantine. Every time I hear of new genetic testing for things I'm always concerned we'll open Pandora's box. These "fictional" movies can become science fact real quick.

ok.
question:
choose only one.
is 28 Days Later...
1. Horror.
2. Science Fiction.
3. not 1 or 2?

It's currently science fiction that is scary, but I wouldn't call it horror.

Wasn't that the premise for I Am Legend? Cancer cure turns people into zombies? Pretty scary shit when you think about it. Like that dude in China who modified the DNA of 2 human embryos to be immune to HIV/AIDS and they were birthed last month. Lets hope as they age they don't get a taste for braaaiiinnnssss.

Train To Busan is another good zombie movie.

I liked 28 Weeks Later better than 28 days later. Few more jumpy scenes to me in the second one

Haven't they already lost track of one of the genetically modified humans?

Haven’t seen that one. Or quarantine. Well not sure about quarantine.

They are not zombies, they are rage/rabies infected....come on man know ur zombie culture!!!!
Still operating under the zombie premise. I am aware of the terminology, but true zombies aren't the undead as pop culture has asserted.

Dang, had me excited for s minute! I thought this thread was going to tell me that they are making a 28 Months Later movie! :(
Id welcome the heck out of it, have it be a worldwide epidemic, ala WWZ...but a much better movie. Gosh, that wasnt a good movie.

Here's another Brit "zombie" film you might enjoy. I think it's on Amazon Prime.
