A mere 186 miles? 'Tis but a leisurely trot for my 400 horses! I am already making plans.

Say, @BatteryOaksBilly , any events between now and then? Not that I'm greedy or anxious or anything like that, but if we're headed down to Surfside Beach, you're kinda right in our travel trailer's path. <bats eyes seductively>

JT I'm home almost every day from noon on. Week ends only out to restaurants and back. Here every Sunday for the last 15 years, shooting, glad handing, conversating, eating RS's Sunday treats for the men and generally solving the world's problems. Come by anytime. Only thing is 21 to enter the gates.

This works out great, I turn 21 on Oct 18th.

Today...we installed a 20X20 shade and rain shed On The Range proper. It's wired and now we need to get it "hot". Lights and outlets for fans. Night shooting til 10 now and we can regulate the amount of light for new training exercises. An old Alumni will run the power and has a great "trencher". He uses an old chain saw to run the wiring in the ground.
There's a lot to do here and thanks to all who help. I am hoping Johnny and Burt Gummer are coming early in October to help. Any body that can shake loose Friday to come help can take a chance on accomadations. Gunbelt is in the Bunk House for sure and any others that can co-habitate with a wild man. The porch will take care of a dozen sleep bags and the shower will be operational. An outside shower is a religious feeling.
Hashknife is in for an early helper and sure he will be here.
Probably can't happen but I think everybody would love to see the Owners and Mods all together. I would.
Chad has promised some of his brisket. Garvin will again give us bacon and eggs for Saturday morning.
My hope is that all of you will be coming here 20 years from now....Remember me when the buzzer goes off for the first time.
 
I'd love to come but that is the same weekend of the Blue Ridge Gathering. It's the 17th annual meet up for long distance Honda ST1300 riders. I never miss it. Y'all have fun.
 
@BatteryOaksBilly , I will be rolling in to the condo that Friday morning and can come over and help with anything I can. Very much looking forward to this one also. I have some goodies I'm getting together at work for a ticket prize, and for the shoot competition.
 
At the moment (6months out) I'm in for the weekend, more or less. Will plan to have the RV there Friday evening and can help out with whatever. Maybe stay satSatur night too if everyone doesn't bail like last year, maybe stay anyway. It's a lovely spot to wake up to. I told the ol'lady she's going to come this time. We'll see how that goes, lol. I will plan on bringing something food-wise as well. Not sure yet but I will think on it.
 
@bigfelipe, I'll be arriving Friday and departing on Monday, so I'll be over both days, at least some on Sunday to help clean up if need be, and to take in some more knowledge, lol.
 
I have been told "If ya wanna go....go and have fun!". If'n I do, I'll probably do like @Millie and get a hotel room. Nothin against the campers but I'm just not big on camping. I'll definitely bring the S&W revolvers. 342, 64-6, 66, 686-1 & 625-8 and lots of appropriate ammo. I can't get enough of shooting my "silver" revolvers. :D

So since people will be arriving Friday, what activities, if any, will be happening? Also what would be a good time to arrive?

Battery Oaks is revolver paradise.... Billy has some extremely nice examples of various "classic" wheelgun variations.


Last Saturday evening, Billy spent some time sharing his wheelgun knowledge with me. I am amazed at the quality of some of the pieces he has, especially considering several were made with manufacturing technology from 60-100 years ago..!

You know I'll be there once you send up the bat signal and so will Burt if I have to tow his house down there while he's snoring away.. Start a list, well get r done..

If you need some help in early October, let me know what I can do....I'm old-ish, but I can still do stuff, unless it's really heavy lifting...lol.

I'm also a decent cleaner-upper for the day after the big bash, so I can help then too, or setting up early the day of, as long as I check into my hotel in time. Just let me know how I can help.

I’ll be there, don’t you fret about towing my mobile home anywhere. I’ll have to see if @kcult will loan me a set of wheels
