since we don't have one...
I hated the idea till i got a silencer.I have sbr's.,carbines, bolt actions,& single shot... I cant find a load combo that will cycle& sounds good in everything.

I like the 90 gr xtp in the single shot over trail boss.
203 palmettos over trail boss &AA1680 in bolt gun.
I have tried 150,168,175,203,208,220 in SBR over 4227,1680,5744.... all have there good points....

But its time to find something and start stockpiling powder/projectiles... any help greatly appreciated...

I'll be back. Gotta do some geeky stuff first.

I load 300 AAC for silencer shooting but use only in bolt guns so I'm not going to be much help. AA1680 is my go to powder.

I am just getting into 300blk. and by just i mean i have a 8.5 inch upper assembled with no ammo. I am looking forward to start building loads but would like input on powders, bullet weights. i have H110, CFE223 and BLC-2.

You're not going to find a single load for 4 different guns... Just won't happen. Barrel length has a huge impact on velocity so you're going to have different loads for various barrel lengths at a minimum. This is especially true if you're flirting with breaking the sound barrier. Add an inch and CRACK you're going to be a bit louder. Temp differences can have an impact when you're right on the edge as well.

1680 is a great powder because it generates enough gas for tuned semi's to function reliably. For bolt guns I'm rather fond of Trailboss but really you have a ton of options there. The new "BLK" specific powders really are right in the same burn range as 1680 but it's always fun trying something new.

As for the bullet options... well I decided to start making my own. The ones in my avatar are 220gr round nose jacketed bullets that I made. I'll be making 30 cal bullets out of 5.7 brass once I get some time after the holidays. I know I can make a perfect 168gr bullet but not sure if I can hit 200gr or not with the rounded nose.

I use H110 in my subs. They are stupid quiet in my bolt gun and they cycle my AR pistol upper... I only load 220-230 subs. Supers obviously aren't an issue...

I run 220 gr round nose over 9.6 gr H110 in my AR. Runs it just fine. Great groups out to 50. Functional hunting groups out to 100.

They are a touch louder in my single shot. I will tinker with a lighter load for it at some point. But have not gotten around to it.
