So my next can that comes in will allow me to shoot subsonic 300blk. I have a 300 blk ar15 pistol but with the new night vision scope it's extremely heavy. I'm thinking of moving this to home defense. I'm thinking of buying an actual 300blk rifle. Any recommendations? With the weight I need something with a stock.

I'm thinking a Remington 700. Thoughts? This will be a coyote gun.

Jeremy has my card on file. I'm sure the bat signal will go up soon and he'll swoop in to take my money :( I'll start googling info on the rar. Is it pretty light?

Yeah, I looked at that one Jeremy has also. Sweet setup.

I have the RAR predator 308 and its pretty light bc of the stock. handles pretty well and is very accurate!

If you want to try a Ruger ranch with sup. You are close enough to try mine. I have hunted the last two days using 240gr Steadfast subsonic. Out to 100 yds it does just fine.

Thanks! I may take you up on it. I purchased a new scope that weighs a crap ton. I just can't swing it on a pistol without a stock. I hate to say this but it would need the only hunting rifle I own.

Well, if yesterday is any indication. The loads mentioned are more than sufficient within 100 yds.

I'll put your name on it and run your card after I get email approval. LOL

Could you send me some info on it?

I'll echo the RAR 300. Has been great. What suppressor did you go with?

Nice. You'll be very happy with that one. It's great.

I hope so. I wanted one that could do multiple guns with. I'm still waiting. I'm hoping in January.

At first I was like "Why bother with a 300blk bolt gun?!" Since really you can load 308 cases to the same levels. However, I do see the appeal in being able to use less/different powder. Now that I'm making my own 30 caliber bullets it makes it easy to test them as well. The Ruger rifle is probably your best budget option. One thing I considered was getting an inexpensive Savage in 223 and then getting a 300blk barrel to go with it. Gives me the option to switch back and forth between the two. That's a bit more involved though so just tell Jeremy to run that CC and be happy :)

The RAR is the value choice.... BUT it handles like a fence post with a can on it... the stock is funky, and i've had a rough time with the mags feeding (some) boolit choices...if you are ocd about your guns beware...

The 300bo subsonic rated supressor is the first one out of jail. I do not own any other hunting rifles or reload (yet) so I'm trying to go with something that I can use the can with and share the same ammo as my ar pistol.

I am ocd. Is there anything to do to make it not feel like a fence post? I'm assuming it is what it is... ?

everyone who shoots it loves it.... it sounds great...a lot of You-tubers say expanding foam in stock... some say plumbers putty with shot mixed in.... I looked at a few after market offers....just not feeling the love.

You just need to bite the bullet and reload already... especially for 300blk of all cartridges. The R700 in 300blk is pretty over priced for what it is. (In my opinion) Which is why I mentioned that if I get a 300blk bolt gun it'll be a used 223 Savage and I'll get a nice barrel for under 200 that I can swap in about 30 minutes or less. Over all price puts me at the cost of a Remington with twice the caliber options. I've only got the AR in this caliber so far though.

Lucky13bullets will gladly take my money for the reloading piece. I just need time to do so. Any a nice outdoor shed setup with heat/ac/electric to do so :D

You just built a house... gotta have an extra room in there somewhere.

Shhh I'm trying to get an outdoor building so this is my excuse. I texted jkupp2000 that I'll take the rifle. Looks like I'm proud owner of a RAR 300blk.
