I'm trying to find some ammo for my 300BLK. I have been searching high and low for barnes VOR-TX but can't find it anywhere (other than gunbroker for way too high). Does anyone have any recommendations for a different bullet for hunting?? I was looking at the hornady 110gr custom or the federal powershok 120gr. Thanks for any help

Don’t know how it compares to the Barnes pricing but it’s solid stuff

That's about how much the Barnes load goes for in normal times. Your gun (and the deer) won't know the difference.

On another note I've killed a handful of deer with the 110 gr Hornady VMAX in either the Custom or Black loading (same/same.) The deer have all dropped where they stood.

Do you need bullets or loaded ammo? I’ve got a box of 110 tax-tx item#30321 if that’ll help you.

Defender ammo has some decent stuff for cheap.
I ran a few boxes of their subsonic and its was terrible accuracy. Even at 50 yards

thanks everyone!! I just ordered some of the Gorilla 110gr varmageddon. I really need to build a more traditional caliber hunting rifle LOL

I have multiple .308s. I prefer the .300 BLK. Plenty for NC Whitetails.

I have a bucket of that varmageddon load. Haven't shot a deer with it but it should work. You likely won't have an exit wound so tracking may be tough if it doesn't drop. If it performs like the VMAX though the vitals will be shredded/liquefied and it'll drop in it's tracks.
