    Posting for a friend.

He has two 45' high cube shipping containers for sale. The high cube models are 9.5' tall instead of the standard 8.

They are in good condition, painted and at least one has a roof vent.

Normally these sell for around $2,500 each; he's in a cash bind and is making them available for $1,500.

If interested, respond via PM and I'll put you in touch with him.

    Scott

At the risk of adding insult to injury, was that $1500 for the pair or for each?

    Please say each.

1Niner66 has stated that he’ll buy them for that price. I’ve shared his contact info with the seller, and vice versa so they are most likely sold.

To my knowledge, they should have sold to 1niner66, but I have not heard from the seller since I passed on the contact info.

Are these also 45'? I'm in the market for a 20 footer. Don't have the space or need for a bigger one.

Some towing companies have the equipment to move these. Other than that, a company that sells the containers will usually move them.
I am working on getting a final price and will pass the info along when I do.
Towing Companies are generally looking to be around $150 an hour.
Any of the 40’ or over containers require what they call a landoll trailer

I get 20 footers delivered on a flatbed tilt trailer. Had a prefab shed delivered the same way.

Ok, So finally got the containers home. Lots of issues I want even go into with folks who run a business and just don't want to work. That's a rant for another day.
I will pass along some lessons learned for future reference.
    1. Being 45' made a huge difference. Lots of companies could move a 20' or even 40'. I only found 4 from Raleigh to Winston. There may be more.
    2. The vents were already in the top of them,so they had to be removed to transport per DOT regs.
    3. If it rains at all. You're getting cancelled.
So, almost 7 weeks after purchasing these they are home. I would probably never buy a 45' again.
If anyone would like to know who moved them for me send me a pm. I can provide plenty of info with who not to use also. :)

Dang good thread. I need two moved to a non diclosed location. The mover will also need to dig graves of the exact same amount of movers. Dinner will be provided. Payment made at the time grave digging is finished.

I suddenly feel that I need one of these shipping containers too. What are they good for? Just a storage shed? What do y'all use these for?

    Yeah, just for storage.
Cheaper than a conventional wooden or metal shed.
    Water tight and critter proof.
    Lasts longer than conventional sheds.
You can lock people in them and they can’t get out.
