Do I need to rocktite or loctite 50 BMG scope rings? I don't have a wrench to measure inch pounds so I was going to go mechanic snug w/ red rocktite.

BA50s are getting cheap! $3500 from Sportsman's Warehouse. Not bad at all for MOA @100yd with ball ammo.

The ammo is not.
I had a Safety Harbor back in 03, when junk machine gun ammo was 1.46 per round, now it’s in the $5-8 range.
It is an expensive beast to feed....

Recoil and backblast is intense.
Really your recoil is going to depend on which rifle and muzzle brake you have.

But really, you can rent a torque wrench at Autozone or Advanced Auto.
You really should do both torque and loctite.

I got him down to $2.25 a round he just had to buy 150 rounds of it from American Marksman to get that low. His first 20 rounds he bought were Hornady Match grade ammo at $120 for 20. He likely won't do that again until he's accurate at range, if ever.

I did forget about Autozone and will roll over there to rent one. Thanks for that!
