    This memorial is amazing.
    Really touching.
    Besides VA sent 32 men to fight, 19 died at D-Day, 3 more in the next couple weeks.

    I used to live right across the county line into Botetourt while I was in school. I remember when this was built. Bedford suffered the highest casualty rate of any city/town per capita on D-Day. It's worth a visit.

    Great place, spent the 65th anniversary there. I wish they didn’t have the Stalin statue there.

    There is also an old pharmacy and soda jerk shop in town. A lot of the Bedford Boys would bring dates there. It was recently purchased and restored to its former glory, very interesting place.
