Found this elsewhere on the forums. Been getting a parts list together to build my own, but the price on this is too good to be true.

I need the advice of someone more knowledgeable than me in seeing if I am wasting my money on buying this for IDPA PCC.

Also I see there is no last round bolt hold open feature. Is there anyway to modify it to allow it to function in that way?

I dont feel LRBHO is necessary. If you’re going to use this in competition and you ran out of pews, a bolt hold open wont bail you out of a bad run.

My NFA lower has a hold open, its hit or miss if it actually works

ok...other than that any input on the rifle itself?

Just based on what i have seen . Usually they start in the $6-700 hundred range and even those may need some work to be reliable

That PSA rifle above needed no work to be reliable. I just made some changes to make it more competitive.

i had a psa upper and lower in the cart yesterday (get paid tomorrow for some side work) and they are both sold out -_-

which one the one i linked or the psa one?

Can't speak for the one you linked as I have never used or seen one but only the PSA. I just looked and I paid $199 for the lower and $329 for the upper so $529. The one in the link is $549 but comes with one mag so pretty close to the same price.

I can't find the original post on r/gundeals for that deal to check the comments. Normally there is a lot of good info there.

I've heard good things about the Ruger PC9 (now with mlok handguards), the FM9 from primary arms, and the PSA ones as far as that price range goes.

I have a PSA lower only and bolt and had no problem with them except the firing pin spring was weak and would slam fire. It will not lock back on the last shot.

The Ruger is nice but if shooting in a competition I would stick with an AR based rifle for the main reason being mag changes. The Ruger is slower to change mags and not as easy.
