A beginner press?

Chucker for factory support ... check classified ads (including Craig’s Mess) and if you’re not in a big hurry holiday sales are coming so you might pick up a Chucker with a sweet deal (Black Friday type) then.

Get a Lee Anniversary Breech Lock kit for $145 or so. Everything you need to get started with limited investment. If you don't like reloading, you aren't out much. If you do, you'll always have a use for a single stage when you upgrade to blue...

I recommend a Lee Classic Turret press, for a beginner. Single stage presses are too slow, for reloading handgun rounds. The LCT can make great rifle rounds. Take the indexing rod out and you have a single stage press.

Another thought . . . if you like reloading, on whatever press you choose to begin with, you will eventually graduate to a progressive press. And, none of this answers your original question. Bad me.

I have a lee classic turret I am willing to part with. I have the inline fab case ejector system on it. It is great to learn on because you can load single stage and immediately jump to a turret for handgun rounds. I loaded thousands of rounds on it with no issues.

I know nothing about this brand of press. It could be the greatest press known to mankind. I rather doubt it. I would rather have an O-frame instead of a C-frame. It would also be nice to have some sort of priming system available on the press. The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten. Get a good Rock Chucker or Redding press. You will never be sorry you did. When you figure the cost of all the components you are going to buy to use with that press, the higher initial cost of a quality press fades into obscurity.
