So, Netflix has been stingy with the movies I'm interested in and as a result, I picked a few at random or as a result of the thumbnail.

I watched The Punisher (finally). I thought it was ok, but not great. It made me want to start drinking Wild Turkey again.

Next, was Check Point. What a waste. Horrible all the way around. If you've seen this movie, I am interested in your take on the storyline.

I just finished watching Look Who's Back. Wow, was that a good movie! I was glad that I was sober enough to follow the subtitles. I recommend it.

That's it.

I watched a movie on Prime this week called Shot Caller (terrible title). My expectations were very low, but were very much exceeded. Gonna watch it again, I think, and try to pick it apart.

Is this the one with the Danish actor Nikolai Koster Waldau and Jon Bernthal. About the guy who goes to prison and becomes "institutionalized" to the criminal sub-culture?

If so, I've been wanting to see it as well.

I've watched two life time Christmas movies. One was actually pretty good with some really attractive women.

Caught a handful on the DVR during a recent free weekend for some of the pay channels. So far I've watched:

1. Suicide Squad (had seen it before)
2. Mechanic: Resurrection (same ol' stuff from Statham, and Jessica Alba is still HOT)
3. Gran Torino (seen it before, watching now in between conf calls)

...and still waiting to watch a classic I've never actually seen: Raging Bull. Also have Snowden, The Nice Guys, and The Hateful Eight. Only one of those I might have seen before is The Nice Guys, but really can't remember.

The nice guys is hilarious, really a good movie imo. Snowden was pretty good.

Raging Bull is a classic! The Nice Guys is funnier than hell, excellent movie, made by the same people that brought us Kiss-Kiss, Bang-Bang, another funny as hell L.A. P.I. story.

That sounds like it, yes.

I was really disappointed in Mechanic: Resurrection. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing, but it seemed like they really didn't try at all. Of course, Alba is always a plus. ;)
Suicide Squad was another "meh" for me. Unpopular opinion among my friends, but I just seemed like more of the same.
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed Nice Guys though. I had not heard of it when it was in the theaters and randomly caught it on a free movie channel preview weekend on DirecTV. Glad I did though!

Im with you on all three points.
I thought the first Mechanic was good, but this was HORRIBLE, I couldnt finish it. And I tried a couple of times.
Hated SS.
Liked Nice Guys quite a bit!

I recently watched GET OUT...I really enjoyed it!
White girl dates a black dude, takes black dude to meet her family, weird stuff starts happening.
Really good horror/suspense movie written by Jordan Peele of Key and Peele fame (substitute teacher video, football player name video etc)

Just finished watching Shot Caller on Prime.
I didnt like it. Wouldnt recommend it to others, but thats just me.

Watched some of the usuals but found Battle for Sevastopol on Prime really good. Bright on Netflix was ok, it was different. Watched Fortitude on Prime - really interesting

Jack Reacher 2
Watched it last night too

It was ok, not as good as the first, as the sub-plot, to me, was dumb. But still not a bad movie.

We watched Red for the thousandth time last night. It never gets old for us and my wife was very interested in knowing what gun Marvin was carrying (S&W 460V).
