NOT to be a PIA,, but POLITELY ask her where she got the skin. In NC,, timber rattlesnakes are on a "Species of Special Concern" list with the wildlife commission & state. Hence,, it's illegal to kill them. And it's illegal to sell wild animal parts in NC.
Just caution her about such stuff.

It's not on the "Species of Special Concern" list, it's on the "Endangered' list.
