That's what me wife keeps telling me that we are going through. Life has given us a few bad blows these last few weeks.
My uncle, moms youngest brother, was buried December 12. He was 86.She has been coping with his passing better than I thought she could. Mom is 91 and the last in a family of 12. And when things start to return to normal,

My dad passes unexpectedly last week,December 15. He was 87. His heart finally gave out.He went suddenly, at home, and didn't suffer. I guess that's the best we can ask for.We laid him to rest last week on Thursday, December 19. We are still trying to cope with this,taking turns staying with mom at night.

And as if it can't get any worse, we have to take out dog to the emergency vet at 1 am this morning. He had fluid around his heart and he did not survive. He was in our life for 13 wonderful years.

Sorry for all this. as I am more of a reader than a poster. I am just asking for your prayers for my family.
 
Just bear up as best you can. Sometimes the greatest victory is to simply endure.

@Gazengine you have endured a horrible few weeks. That’s an enormous amount of pain in a short time. Very sorry the Christmas season has been this tough. Nobody gets over losing a parent. Blessing to you and your mom. So sorry to hear about the pet family member. 13 good years with a great family. Merry Christmas sir.
 
Very sorry for the troubles you and your family are experiencing. I'm sure things will eventually start improving in the future.
 
Sorry it has been such a tough couple of weeks. There is definitely truth to the saying “when it rains, it pours.” I hope happy memories comfort you during this difficult time. Prayers.
 
God does not test my faith.I am allowed to be upset,sad,angry,and overwhelmed.My faith is there to assure my strength in him and carry me when I do not feel able to carry myself.I am human and I will suffer.With my faith it can be lessened.

I am sorry for your losses and pray for you and your family.
