My shooting buddy is having another little get together and lunch today. Usually around 50 people show up, just friends and families. Last time I did a small pork loin and it was gone in a few minutes. I've had requests to bring loin again and that's just what I'll do.

I got a whole pork loin and cut it in half. I lightly rubbed each since I didn't want to go overboard on the seasonings for this group. I decided to do two different flavors for this time. I chose Rudy's Rubs. Rudy's is a Texas BBQ chain. My close friend in Texas has sent me these rubs and we have used a lot of them. I have plans to try out Rudy's in a couple of months.

Anyway, one side has Rudy's Rub (the one on the right), it has a little bite to it but not too much. My wife even likes it and she doesn't like hot, spicy foods.

The other half has Rudy's Turkey Rub. I don't know why it's called Turkey Rub, it's good on everything. It's more of a black pepper and garlic rub.

I'm going to cook these until they are 145 degrees internal and wrap in aluminum foil until just before time to go and then slice it up. Hoping it'll be good. It's kinda hard to mess up a pork loin, though.
