COURSE OUTLINE:
It’s not the person with the fastest draw or can shoot the tightest groups that will win a gunfight. It’s the person with a solid set of essential skills and the ability to recognize a rapidly unfolding situation and adapt accordingly. This course will review essential combat shooting skills and their place in armed conflict and then advance to required tactics and techniques to PREVAIL. Use of cover, unconventional shooting positions, one hand shooting/drawing/manipulation, close contact shooting positions and decision making/cognition drills and skills will be emphasized. Adaptation is the key to prevailing in a situation where your life is on the line and this course will help bolster these skills.

I am interested in this one. Has anyone taken this class before?

What would you like to know? In general, it involves a lot of one-handed shooting (think injured shooter) and shooting from unconventional positions.
Like what your thoughts were on the class, was it worth the time and money, etc.

I didn't have a financial investment in the Adaptive Pistol class as I hosted it, and my employer provided the ammo. I did later attend one of Dave's classes at my own expense, and I am signed up for another one in 2020.

I don't know what your skill level is. The skills are certainly important, but they are something one shouldn't be working on unless they have a strong foundation already. If not, you'd be better off spending your training budget on more foundation work.

In my opinion, if you already have the basics down on drawing from a holster, drawing from concealment, handling reloads, etc., a class like this one from Dave is doable and something you will gain from. You always come away with something from a Spaulding class.

I checked out some videos of the training class on Youtube. Looks like a great class.

You can find lots of video content from Dave here on his main page on our website.

Yes I know that but I was looking for video from the students prospective of the class. If I choose to take the class I will most likely also purchase the video from your site. ;)
