Aero cmv barrels...

Huge “yay”! Aero is the sister company to Ballistic Advantage. I’d be willing to bet Aero barrels are identical to BA just different branding.

My last 3 builds have been BA barrels and I expect my next couple will be as well. BA barrels are great quality on paper and it shows in your hands. No performance or accuracy issues. And it’s easy to find great deals on their stuff. I haven’t used their .308 barrels yet, just 5.56 and 300BLK.

ETA:
2x 8" 300BLK (because they run everything from 110-220gr suppressed and unsuppressed without issue)
10.5" 5.56

Yay from me too! Have had really good luck with them. Have AP and BA branded ones. Have had two 7.5” that performed very well. So had a 16” mid. All shot great.
I have a 12.5” carbine that I still use and has been in a couple different configurations. Originally I shot it in 3gun factory divisions. Requires non magnified optics. It really surprised me with its accuracy with basic 55gn. And I paid 94$ on sale.
All mine have been used for practical shooting. Can’t really comment on precision. But likely precision shooters would be looking at something else. For a basic affordable barrel these are gonna be hard to beat.
Just my opinion.

Love my 11.5 BA barrel. 1-4 lpvo and was popping steel semi consistently at 500 and hit 700 several times today. Only ran 2 mags but was at or better than guys with 16" rifles.

Never ran AP, but if it's the same stuff you won't be disappointed.

I’ve got a BA CMV barrel on an 11.5inch 5.56 and it’s been perfect. Lots of rounds, no problems. Solid accuracy.

I will have to be the dissenting vote here of "Nay". :(

I had horrible luck with three different Aero/Ballistic advantage barrels last year and ultimately replaced it with a White Oak Armament 18" SPR that shoots several different bullet weights (55 / 69 / 77) and loads amazingly!!
