First, while the Lobby Day Rally Crowd size is inconclusive(?), I've read that for estimating tight crowds, assign one person per 'Square Foot."

It was America on display!

Yep. There were a lot of people still back at the baseball stadium parking lot. When I heard a two hour wait for the shuttle, I walked 3 miles there and 3 miles back. So did a lot of others.

Washington State just had a rally on Friday and our rights are about to be abolished this year. They’re banning just about everything, including standard mags, attachments, basically all semiautomatics, taxing ammo and banning online purchases of it as well as attaching background checks on ammo buys using California’s laws. Our hearings for all this start tomorrow. They’re even using ghost bills to get some of this through if some of the numerous others happen to fail, but there is a dem supermajority. They’re also deleting our state’s preemption clause and as of last year we have to waive our HIPAA private health record rights to buy any semiautomatic for yearly background checks for routine confiscation. They have also attached a statewide gun registry to these other bills. We need political/peaceful rally support or we lose it all this year!

From The Comments of video posted at bottom,

More armed and armored citizens showed up than the entirety of the Virginia National Guard. On a whim, we showed that we are both more disciplined and WAY better armed than they are. The sleeping bear showed its face, and they didn't want to play anymore.

And they picked up after themselves too. The place was left cleaner then when they got there.

I don't believe it was only 30,000 patriots. The media never reports the real number. It was much closer to 100,000. I know what 30k looks like., and this was at least 3 times that. There was 20k just in that disarmed kill box, and 5 or 6 times that outside.

there was a stack of busses, bumper to bumper parked on both sides of the street from E Broad all the way to the 95 on ramp along 7th street. that was at noon when i left.

Indigo1138 Saw lady on RT say VCDL had hoped for 120k. She felt it easily surpassed that. From prolife activism years ago, we can never expect media basic fairness. But NBC had to at least use MASSIVE.

If there was 100,000 people, that means you mustered an armed citizenry larger than my home's (Canada) entire active military... maybe even our reserve as well

i was there, about 20-30k on the capital yard and another 100-150k in the streets. 7 blocks in every direction was shoulder to shoulder crowds. And from what I saw 1/3 of us were packing rifles.

I agree it was far more than that..buses couldn't even unload people were blocks away like 20k and at least that on all the buses..then some had to walk away from it because of room..

What most people dont see is that is the foundation of this. As a society we allowed for a right to be treated as a privilege to one,and that made it a privilege for all. There are terrorist on our prisons who openly admit they committed their crimes because of their radical religious beliefs. Not only are they allowed to continue to exercise their religion in prison, you and I pay for the items they need to practice it. That's because we as a society havent allowed the government to restrict anyones rights to practice the religion they choose.

It was beautiful, and an honor to be among so many awesome folks!
It felt like a festival, and everyone attending was incredibly courteous.
A friend who attended described it as one of those points in your life where everything was before and after.

Everyone who attended, did so fully aware of wide spread calls that violence would erupt, and we would be facing Class 5 Felonies for carrying rifles in a State of Emergency.

I was thanked dozens and dozens of times by Virginians who wanted to speak to the legislature, but couldn't bring their firearms. The importance of what we were doing armed and in kit sunk in when I recognized a patch a not well known on a man in line to go through the metal detectors, searches and pat downs. I introduced myself and mentioned this patch. This man in line is active duty with 10th Group Army Special Forces. He thanked us for coming armed when he couldn't. This dude has put his ass on the line for the nation, and he thanked us for standing up for him. fahq!

Were you one of those 'on the clock'?

I appreciate everyone that went. I admit that I was one of the naysayers, thinking that someone would trigger a riot or that the message would be dilute by confederate flags and what not. Glad to have been wrong and thanks again for acting in spite of the folks like me. I’ll do better next time.

I guess not, since I don’t know what “on the clock” is unless your saying being “at work” if so, no I took a day off work and a day away from my family to go.

Oh, OK, it just seemed like your post indicated that you were on the .gov security detail. My bad on misreading it.

No, just civilians exercising the 2A with open carry, chest rigs, and proper medical equipment
if anything horrible happened.

as if there is something wrong with the battle flag.

Nothing wrong with it. Just not the right venue for it. It was about solidarity and coming together as one nation no matter race, religion, gender, sexuality or other label that divides.
