I randomly got an AG Russel catalog in the mail after not getting one for years. I used to love looking through there at Doziers and Randalls and their nice house stuff

90% of the house stuff is just made in China mid to low grade junk. Bummer.

Disclaimer: I know many of us are on the hatin China bandwagon at the moment (not necessarily excluding myself) but I'll admit that We and Kizer and a couple others make outstanding knives. This stuff was junky though.

I can only assume that if you are calling the Sunfish, Doctor's, Gunstocks, Pocket Beak, Sowbelly and others junk, then you have not actually handled one.
I own all of the current Chinese made AG brand folders and they are every bit of the quality of the Case/Bose custom collaborations (and light years beyond the regular Case line) on the market at 3-5x the price. AG was still spot inspecting knives out of the batches right up until he died about a year back. If you met or knew the man, you would know he wouldn't crank out crap, especially after what Jim Parker did to the knife trading world, and that his designs, even if Chicom manufactured, were still innovative.
