Air Rifles/Pellet Guns

@draco88, that thing will bring a lot of grins to the whole family. Now you have me feeling like I need a .22 air rifle. Let me know how quiet it is.
It's quiet enough that squirrel number 2 and 3 didn't know to stay away lol.
Took 3 in about 30 minutes from my back deck. Shortest shot was about 15 yards and the longest was about 40 yards. None of them took more than three jumps when hit.
That .22 hits em hard lol

Anyone with experiece with the larger caliber ones like the Benjamin Bulldog in 357? Saw one recently and looked very interesting guy was using it deer hunting.

My Crossman PowerMaster 760 circa 1968, got it when I was 9 yrs old $25 and the scope was $7
Pump action repeater style, will take BB or .177 pellets. Can send a BB at 1,300 fps rifled barrel.
I used it 100% for targets and cans.

The Lewis and Clark expedition carried air rifles.....RS says I'm full of useless information....alas...….
You have to share that useless info. If you don't let it out, it will just build up and one day your head will explode. Also makes room for more useless information from the rest of us to absorb.

My gunsmith turned me on to CB Longs. I dont need a $500 air rifle anymore
You know what pisses me off about CBs? They don't make them in 22lr. They make them in shorts and longs, neither of which will feed in ANY 22 rifle I know of except tube fed and break barrel. They don't need the space for powder even in the longs, so why don't they make them in LR instead so they can feed from magazines? [/RANT]

I picked up a Gamo Varmint .177 recently and I would like to replace the scope. Can anyone recommend a decent air rifle scope that won't break the bank? I know some are quite expensive.

Was bored this weekend so I did a trigger mod on my CMP Daisy 853 air rifle. Polished up the sear engagement surfaces and added a set screw to remove all the slack in the trigger. For a hack job with only a Dremel tool, I must say it came out pretty well. I still need to find a replacement rear stock screw to tighten up the action in the stock, but otherwise it shoots pretty well for an $80 airgun
