I love puukko blades. Eminently useful. It's funny, as I have gotten older and have more experience I have gravitated towards blade designs that have been around for hundred/s of years. Puukkos, nessmuks, kephart, and the Canadian hunter style (and damn I hate to give the Canadians credit for anything at all, but that design has really grown on me).

I knew a knife maker that called it the "willow leaf" design for a similar reason.

It’s 1095 carbon steel. I get most all of my steel from Alpha knife supply.
