The little sleeve bushing on the powder measure broke. Dillon is sending some but no telling how long that’ll take.

just seeing if anyone local to the triad has a spare, I’d gladly pay for it.

They are usually pretty quick about sending out parts. If i break a small plastic part i always ask for two. That way i have a spare and can keep reloading.

I had a friend mentor me when I wanted to get into reloading. I started with a Dillon 550 as my first press as a result. He talked me into getting the spare parts kit when I bought it. I have only had to use something from that kit twice, but I was back up and running right away. That sleeve bushing is in the kit. I used it to fabricate a fail-safe linkage for my Lee Autodrum I have mounted on one of my toolheads.

Is that the bushing for the failsafe rod?

Was recently reading about someone else that had broken this part, never could figure out how.

I’ve done that hundreds of times, I’ll pay attention to how I do it next time so it’ll probably break.

Are you trying to force the sleeve through the slot? The rod goes through the slot, and the sleeve enters the hole from the bottom.

You typically only have to be 10% smarter than most inanimate objects and that day I was not. :(

Yep, I've broken two to date and just run with it broken now. I've broken both of mine when I was removing the powder measure to swap charge bars. That notch/slot is just too small relative to the diameter of the sleeve.

Also, for any Dillon owners reading this thread, this little LED lamp is a perfect match to Dillon Blue and easily attaches:

I’ve a ‘99 550 and I couldn’t figure out what was being referenced until I saw your pic.
This shouldered washer is 21 years old.

I have a spare but am in CLT. Let me know if yours takes too long to come in and we can figure something out.

I'm running a Dillon 550 and always keep that spare parts bag on hand. I think it was like $25 and contains many of the small breakable parts.

They sent me 3 extra! I have them already but I greatly appreciate the offer

No worries man - glad to hear you got some. Dillon has some of the best customer service I've ever interacted with.
