I have an HK raw lower receiver and am needing to get it anodized. Does anyone have a lead on a good place that does type III hardcoat? Thanks

Chad

In order to legally receive your lower, you need an anodizer who is also an FFL holder.

The only 2 FFL anodizers in the Carolinas are:
Surtronics - Raleigh,NC
Upstate Anodize - Gaffney,SC

Advanced Material Coatings in Thomasville is also a FFL licensed anodizer. https://advancedmaterialcoatings.com/ The issue you will have, getting one lower anodized is, they will probably want to charge a lot charge, unless they can be convinced them to run it as part of a bigger lot. Make sure you know the alloy of the aluminum as well, as you cannot mix alloys in a lot.

The FFL listed on their web page expired back in 2018...(??) Do you know if they are current with the ATF?

Hashknife,
That is a good question, I can't say for sure. I have a contact there, as I have done business with them in the past. When I get to the office tomorrow, I will reach out to him, and find the answer, and post what I learn here.
