It looks like the Agency Arms and Apex can be bought for about the same money.
Anybody shot both?

I'm sure you'll like it. They are probably identical. Haha.
There were subtle differences based on his review, but what sold me was trigger position for larger hands, and apparently the Apex is forward set more than the others, so I went for it.

Installed the Apex trigger/bar/connector in the G48. Aside from liking the trigger shoe better, I can’t really tell much difference in the function of the trigger. Haven’t had it to the range yet. Not sure if I would spend that $112 again based on initial impressions.

I put one in an M&P 1.0 a couple of years ago and it made that thing a different gun.

I've found shoe shape is the biggest bonus for me. That's why I like the VTAC flat shoe as a cheap, solid upgrade. It's like $25...

That said those Overwatch Precision dealies are pretty sweet...

I ran the wizard drill from under a shirt tail with the G43 today (and have never run drills or matches from under a shirt tail although I should more often).
Based on how well I ran it (for me) I am not entirely sure why I am even screwing around with this G48.

I really wanted to like my G48 but I just couldn't warm up to it. I still like my G43 and my G42. The G19 is my all time favorite.

The one advantage the 48 has over the 43 is mag changes on the fly, which is really something you will only run into in matches. Most people I know, including me, think the 43 won’t drop mags free, but it’s the mags hitting the palm of their hand. Either way, you basically have the strip the mag out with the support hand that is supposed to be busy grabbing the next mag.

Takes practice. I run my 43 at PDHSC most months. The first couple I had to work on it. After that I learned to get my hand meat out of the way and let them drop free. Now it's second nature just like a full size. Not quite as fast just due to the small size but close.

I’m sitting here trying to do it and the heel of my hand is just all in the way, short of pinching the gun between my thumb and fingers. I’ve been running it in BUG matches the 5-6 a year I get to shoot, and while I usually post decent scores and I just gave up expecting mags to drop for me.

Are you familiar with "the shocker"? That's kind of the shape you make with your hand but pushing out with the ring finger as you hit the mag release. I can't remember how to post video other than YouTube... I just texted you a video of how I do it.

Got it, and thanks.

I put the Vicker’s mag catch back in. Maybe the ergos will work better with your reload technique.

I’ve got the same 3 and dont see the need for a 48. Of course it was never about need!

I said the same thing until they started talking about 15rd flush mags in it. Still waiting on that. If it happens, I'll be on the 48/43x train for sure...

You probably know this, but a 43 slide will fit on a 48.
Voila, 43x.

I do. That's why I would buy the 48 and just run my 43 slide. Plus I hate the silver slides... I know the 48 comes in black now, not sure about the 43x.
