Not sure if anyone is near Matthews are not. Academy website shows to have limited supply of small pistol primers in stock at their Matthews location. I’m a long ways from there so doesn’t do me any good nor can I confirm that.

If you’ll check Sportsmens warehouse every day you can find at $33 per thousand. Same goes for ammo at reasonable prices.

I guess I need to start checking the Greensboro location, all of my out of the way spots haven’t seen powder or primers in months, I want to join Coleman’s Creek, but if I can’t find reloading components there isn’t much of a reason to drop $500 on a membership I won’t be able to use but once or twice in a year.

I've found that "limited stock" at Academy means OOS. I call now before making a special trip bc they never actually have it

I remember boxes like that from 30+ years ago.
I was going to say, the last time I saw boxes like that was in the '80's ?

Probably the 70's too. I'm just old and can't remember exactly when. Started reloading in the 70's, but we used winchester mostly.
Pretty sure that these are from 1976-79. So far they have a 0% failure rate. I really like the smaller packaging!

A few years back, I came across an excel spreadsheet where I would track reloading cost. In the early 90's when I started to reload, I was gifted 5,000 pieces of used .45 brass by a reloading enthusiast who helped me get started. Since I had the brass, I was spending $.05 per round which consisted of Magnus 200gr lswc, CCI primer, and 3.6gr of Bullseye powder.
