Anyone have the Benchmade Bugout?

I have one I carry on weekends and when I want a smaller knife that hides in my pocket better. It's my favorite Benchmade that I've ever had. It has a larger handle than a mini grip or 707 and a decent size blade. Steel is ok and weight is awesome. You'll forget you have it in your pocket.

I say all this as primarily a Spyderco guy who likes thin, light and relatively long bladed knives. It compares well to Spyderco Delica FFG and while it may not be as good of a slicer it's smooth action and lighter weight make it a nice alternative.

Thanks guys.

Mack - a lot of knife people are saying the same thing you are, so I went ahead and ordered one. I like both Spyderco and Benchmade about the same. All my carry knives are one of the other.

I just picked up the para 3 lightweight from Spyderco. It compares to this knife for edc. It’s fantastic, super lightweight.
I posted about a couple weeks ago when I went back to the factory store.

Bought my girlfriend one. Really regret giving it to her. Because it’s friggin sweet. Slim and light as a feather.

I have 2, love them!
I'm not a knife snob or expert... It's light, thin, operates well. That's exactly what I look for in a pocket knife.
But, Don't leave it in your pocket and wash& dry... The dryer heat will degrade the factory thread locker to the point you have to keep an Allen wrench on the kitchen counter so you can tighten all the screws every evening. Fortunately, Benchmade will send you a set of replacement screws free of charge. But, it takes time so you might be tempted to buy a 2nd BugOut while you wait.
When the screws arrive, I recommend blue loctite.
Of course, this may not apply to you if your wife doesn't make it a challenge to see how many times she can wash your wallet, cash, knife, belt & spare mags holder.

Sorry, I may have gotten into the weeds...

I love my BugOut (s)

....and then there's the fact it's a Benchmade.....
